A platform created to break the ice about uncomfortable conversations
I always felt that there were so many important conversation topics that the general public was not talking enough about.
So in January 2020, Zoya Hasan and I started Openthefuckup - an instagram art platform with the intention of putting out controversial statements/topics that sparked conversation.
From here, we brought together over 40 different cultural contributors, made art pieces that reached NYC to California to Brussels, and were the hosts of one of musician Doechii's first rap events in NYC.
A concert run by myself + Arty Furtado with the intention of launching Openthefuckup as a brand and bringing people
together in conversation. This event was in March 2020 at WondervilleNYC in Brooklyn (an arcade/bar/venue) with over 150 people in attendance.
